Happy Birthday Rowan!

Our little buddy boy had his first birthday yesterday. He's no longer a baby :(

Now he's really eating!

Ellie wants to try it with her hands too!

We went to a local hotel yesterday that has an indoor "waterpark." We had never been there before, but I had a coupon that I was saving for a special time. So, we packed up the kids after Rowan's morning nap and went to the "waterpark." After we bought the tickets, we walked into the pool area, and I saw that the children's area was closed. Which was ridiculous, because that was the entire reason we went! I couldn't believe that the girl at the front desk didn't even mention it to us, when she saw that we had two young kids. I walked back to the front desk, where the girl told me that the pool was drained that morning and might reopen later that day. So, we played in the big pool, which had a large slide that we could go down holding onto our kids. It was fun, but not worth the $26 we paid to swim there! So, we stayed for about an hour, and then I went to the front desk again and managed to get free passes for us to come again when the kiddie pool is open. Good thing, or I wouldn't have been a happy customer!

So, even after sharing cake with our neighbors, we have lots left. It's a really yummy (and extremely healthy, except for the frosting) carrot cake! Anyone who wants some, just fly right over!

Awww, I really like the carousel cake. You did good. And we have those same little forks and spoons with the animals on them. We got them at the dollar store. I'm glad you got free passes to go back to the pool another day. It's annoying when people don't bother to tell you that what you're paying for isn't all available (especially when you think they can obviously see who you went for). Anyway, Happy Birthday, Rowan!

Glad he had a good birthday! I heard from Ellie that you were making a carousel...it came out very cute. I would sure be there if I could!

Cute cake! Ellie's hair is so long, I can't believe it. My niece and nephew are getting so big!
